Playlouder - Music is the Network

Way back in February - Valentine's Day to be exact - I was loitering lonely in The Old Blue Last, Shoreditch, full of a healthy contempt for my fellow man and woman, when I had the pleasure of a first encounter with a band called Stricken City.

Of all the angular/jangly new new wave tossers doing the rounds around the East End at the time, they were the ones that had the greatest impact on me, and of all the Siouxsie Sioux soundalikes I'd suffered through, frontwoman Rebekah Raa was the one with the best voice and biggest personality. 

A few months later and here they are with a debut single on the way and the very real possibility of becoming a decent band. 'Tak o Tak''s video sees the band poncing about in front of a big piece of paper and has already earned them dismissive YouTube comments about crap dancing and Top Man clothes.

That's all bollocks though, because this is a hot new song by a hot new band and you love it:
