"Sound The Alarm" is the third record from the London based, multi-national indie rock punk outfit Sandira. Set for release in October, it follows their sold-out debut and follow up, "Blood Rose" and "Hanging On The Wire".
"Sound The Alarm" Is a tight, spiky invention that bristles with cool. A guitar based classic, recorded and produced by Pete Skank at Corrupt Drive Studios and delivers an unforgettably catchy, radio friendly slice of Patti Smith fuelled rock that epitomises archetypal guitar riffage and dirty licks that throws a nod to The Pixies and Queens of the Stone Age.
This London based quartet - featuring a Kiwi, a Brazilian, a Portuguese and an Italian - inherits its name from their lead vocalist Sandira, whose illustrious career as a respected female percussionist, includes working with The Shamen, Loop Guru and William Orbit.
Miguel (guitar), Rodrigo (bass), Davide (drums) and Sandira came together through a mutual appreciation of indie-punk-rock, a heartfelt love of pounding beats - from angular nu-wave rapid fire to New York ajit Rock - together with a passion for great songs performed with charisma and drive.
